‘Surrounded in tears’

‘Surrounded in tears’ plays through 22 channels to create a symphony of 100 crying sounds sampled from different cultures and periods. Comprising new recordings and archival research, the audio was composed in collaboration with composer Michael Nyman with the visual aspect of the installation realised with designer Jasper Morrison.
